* Chinese New Year is COMING!  This year is Snake year. Good Luck for all Snake year people! Next Friday is our Dumpling Day for Chinese New Year! Happy New Year!

* Next Monday is One Hundred Day! Congratulations for all my students! They have successfully accomplished half second grade!

*No Math Test Next Friday(2/8/2013).

Last Week Learning:

  • Characters: 太棒了，一本書，買，貴，謝謝
  • Mandarin Reading：we have started new chapter ” Transportation”. Students have the reading assignment to practice reading three passages which we have learned in the class. The students are asked to read out the passages fluently. 
  • Mandarin Writing: 1 Whole Class:continue practicing applying a right writing process in Chinese writing. The students were asked to use the writing process to write an essay about lovely animals.  2. Chinese Reader Series: the students were involved in reading a book named “ Go Shopping”. They were also encourage to use the sentence structures in the book to describe their shopping experience.
  • Math：Have completed Chpter 2 Methods for Mental Addition. Next week: Methods for Mental Subtraction
